Goodman Morgan's Highlander Tunic
Hail and Well Met Highlanders! Misty Thicket Clothing is pleased to offer you a Men’s 13th-18th C. Scottish Tunic (shirt) to accompany our Great Kilts. The tunic is a basic, roomy design made from natural cotton muslin, or the more period accurate linen. It is extremely comfortable to wear, and should come to the knee when belted (see our pictures for the optional shorter design). This pan-European tunic is the perfect way to add authenticity to your medieval persona.
Perfect worn with a pair of trews too! The facing around the neckline lends itself perfectly to embroidery! The Scots loved to hand-embellish their clothing with fringes, beads and fine stitching in bright colors; even the most common man adorned his clothing so feel free to make your tunic unique!
The sleeves measure about 21” long from the underarm seam to hem, and the shoulders are wide and roomy. The length from back of the neck to bottom hem is 45” long (pictured at the shorter length of 38") and it measures about 62” around the chest. The neckline is laced with a leather thong through brass grommets. All seams have been serged and the hems finished to provide you with years of wear.
